A local guide from the high central Rif mountains, Morocco. Tidighin Guide is based in Douar Tamadit, near Targuist in Al Hoceima province — the village closest to the trailhead. The routes start at the doorstep, in cedar forest that climbs into bare, shale-grey ridgeline.
Groups come for the mountain Tidighin itself — 2456 metres, the highest point of the entire Rif range — and stay for the three peaks around it. Treks run year-round and cross from forest into open snow most winters; we've guided groups through both.
All four are reachable from the same trailhead network around Targuist — most groups combine two or more across a multi-day trek, depending on season and snow.
Day routes and multi-day treks to Tidighin, Boukzine, Aghandrou and Mont du Cèdre, set to the season and the group's pace.
Lower, gentler routes through the Atlas cedar forest below the ridgeline — for groups with less time or a slower pace.
